How Long Does a Hair Transplant Take to Grow?

Hair transplant surgery involves a good deal of time for healing and for the new hair growth.
A hair transplant in India is considered to be an effective treatment for the hair loss problem. In this procedure, a hair transplant doctor removes hair follicles from the donor area then transfers that hair follicle to the bald affected areas. There are two methods available to perform this procedure:

FUT:- Under FUT surgery, surgeons remove the strip from the back or the sides of the head then they dissect it in the laboratory under the microscope to produce individual follicular grafts. After the surgery, a linear scar left on the donor area.

FUE:- Under the FUE procedure, the surgeon dissects hair follicles directly from the scalp by a small punch. After the surgery, tiny dot scars are left from where the surgeon removed the hair from the back of the scalp.

HOW MUCH TIME HAIRS TAKE TO GROW AFTER THE HAIR TRANSPLANT SURGERY?

After surgery, during the first few weeks of recovery, the hair which is grafted tends to shed, Which is known as the first telogen stage.
After three months, the hair starts to grow which is known as the Anagen stage. During this stage, doctors evaluate whether the patient requires more hair grafts or not.
Again the growth of hair stops, this stage is particularly known as Catagen. During this stage, you are not going to experience any hair loss.
After the surgery, between 12 to 18 months, the positive outcomes appear. The newly grown hair grafts appear with good texture and thickness. This stage is a final stage which is called a second Telogen stage.
