Are Scientist Close To Any Cure For Baldness??


Hair loss has always been a common problem among men. Aging men are reported to suffer from hair loss. Nowadays, even women are reported to have hair loss. While the men’s hair loss is related more or less to baldness, the women experience thinning of hair and loss of density of hair. The hair loss aggravates as the age of the person increases.
The science has achieved various breakthroughs in the treatment of hair loss among others. However, most of these hair treatments manage hair loss and do not provide a definite solution to hair loss.
HAIR LOSS TREATMENT
Some of the treatments currently being used are:
1. Minoxidil: it is a lotion that is applied to the scalp. It works by raising the blood pressure and providing nourishment to scalp for the growth of hair follicles. Its effects are temporary and continue with its continued usage.
2. Finasteride: finasteride checks the presence of type II 5-alpha-reductase. It is an enzyme that converts testosterone to androgen DHT. With this androgen DHT, the vulnerable hair follicles are restricted from falling. The effectiveness of this drug is restricted to men only on the basis of continuous usage.
3. Dutasteride: dutasteride is recommended by some as it also holds back type II 5-alpha-reductase along with type I. Thus, it performs dual action by blocking two types of enzymes which reduces DHT even further and protecting the hair follicles from damage. This is also effective for men only and works only on continuous usage.
4. Hair transplantation: hair transplant is being commonly used for treating the hair loss. In this process, the strong hair follicles are extracted from back and sides of the hair and planted to the bald scalp region. In this process, the existing hair of the person is scattered over his/her scalp.

The main indication of gynecomastia is swollen breasts. It is the augmentation of tissues in the body called glandular tissue. The disorder mostly happens in both sides of breasts but in rare cases can be in one side as well.

Many medical treatments are used for gynecomastia treatment. Let's see some of them:

*Replacing testosterone has been found to be very effective in curing gynecomastia, especially in elderly men. But, does not work for those who have normal Testosterone

*Clomiphene is also used for treating gynecomastia.
